Online Training
Online training is both a cost-effective and convenient way to deliver certain types of training. The mandatory supervisory training sessions previously available through NEATS are now available exclusively online. The sexual harassment prevention refresher course is also available online, but CSN will continue to offer face-to-face sessions twice monthly.
FERPA - Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
FERPA is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 that governs the rights of students and institutional responsibilities with respect to student records. CSN is bound by its provisions.
Prior to accessing the online FERPA training, please print the Security Access Form (available by clicking on the link below). Upon completion of the FERPA training, complete the form and submit it to your supervisor for his/her signature. Now that the FERPA training is in the online format, no certificates will be issued. This information is shared on behalf of the iNtegrate team who is in charge of the MyCSN project implementation. Extension Campus
The mandatory training required for all supervisors of Classified personnel that was previously delivered by the Department of Personnel through NEATS, is now provided exclusively online through the Cooperative Extension Service. It can be accessed using this link: http://campus.extension.org.
The online sessions include:
- Interviewing & Hiring Process,
- Progressive Disciplinary Procedures,
- Evaluating Employee Performance,
- Alcohol and Drug Testing, and
- Handling Grievances
Also available online are:
- Sexual Harassment Prevention Revisited (the refresher course),
- Introduction to Equal Opportunity Employment, and
- Defensive Driving Revisited (the refresher course)
