Software by Courses
	Taught in course (Learn a little about software)	Students interested in learning something about a specific software package should check out those classes marked with GREEN.

•	Taught as a scope of course (Take course to learn software)	Courses highlighted with a black bullet [ • ] have mastery of the software a major part of the scope of the course. For example: if you want to learn Quark XPress you should take GRC 140—Electronic Publishing I; to master Macromedia Director, then enroll in GRC 179--Multimedia Design & Production I and then 279B--Multimedia Design & Production II.

	Used in class (Student should be comfortable with software)	Students are expected to use software in the course assignments in those classes marked with RED. Students should know something about this software to function in the course.

Software by Producer
The CCSN Computer Graphics Program uses a variety of software in its courses. Most of applications are produced by three major graphics software leaders in the industry:
	Adobe / Macromedia	Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop / ImageReady Premiere / Director, Dreamweaver / Flash
	Quark	XPress

NOTE:

GRC 125B—Graphics Software—teaches a variety of software. See specific section for specific package and platform being taught.
Software interface is the same on both Mac and PC platforms. You can learn on Mac and work on PC or vice versa.
