
To sign up for web-based email service:
- Launch a web browser (e.g. Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer).
- Go to a web site which offers free email (type that in the address box).

of others to choose from
- Register at that site by following the directions on the screen.
- You will get an address, a log-on name, and a password. Write them down.
To send or receive messages from your web-based email service:
- Go to the web site that serves you (e.g. www.hotmail.com).
- Type in your log-on name and password.
- You are there.

INSTRUCTIONS
An email (mailing) list is managed by an on-line resourse
known as a listserv, which sends a copy of all messages it receives to every
email account on a designated list.
To join a particular mailing list (your class's) on
the CCSN Computer Graphics Program listserv, a user must SUBSCRIBE to it. Normally
this is done simply by sending email to the listserv and asking it to place
you on the list you want to be on.
- Log onto your email service (hotmail.com or whatever you have).
- Go to the CCSN Computer Graphics Program Email Lists page.
- Follow the links and instructions.
You will get a confirmation that you have been added to the mailing list.
To send a message to a Computer Graphics Program mailing list:
- Log onto your email service (hotmail.com or whatever you have)
- In the TO: type in the email address of your list, which is the name of
the list followed by the "@" symbol, followed by "csn.edu".
(For example, to post something to the cg_events list send it to "cg_events@csn.edu"
You must be a member of the list to send a message to it.
