Course Description:

Students work on individual design and communications projects under the direction of a faculty advisor; projects, provided by real world businesses and organizations, relate to the student's selected major emphasis.


This course is designed as an opportunity for the GRC student to independently work on a real-world project or projects—under the supervision of a full-time faculty member—to produce work that can be used in a professional portfolio.

The project(s) should be in the student's main field of study—e.g. students completing the requirements for a Web Design degree could develop a web site for a non-profit organization; for a Computer Graphics Design degree, a series of brochures and other collaterals for a business.

Prerequisite:

21 GRC course credits

Course:

  1. Written proposals for projects must be submitted and approved by the faculty advisor before the project begins.
  2. Proposals should reflect the amount of time estimated to be involved to complete the project; the number of credits earned depends on the number of hours involved (20–25 hours per credit):
