Objectives:
To create a composit image using multiple images and computer creative techniques.
Assignment General Outline:
Using a scanner to digitize two or more photographic images, and Adobe Photoshop software, generate a creative composite image that is visually creative and requires the compositing of at least two separate computer images.
Procedures:
- Select two original photographic images, scan the images, save to disk with
the file sizes of an 8X10 at 200dpi. Note: you may use images from your digital camera, or one original illustration, but not images from the web!!!
- Using Adobe Photoshop software, create a composite image.
- Take the image that will be the background for the other images,
open that image, re-name the file and use this as the 'CreativeComposit.psd" image.
- Import the separate images one at a time until the composit is complete.
Use any creative techniques (such as Filters or Mode shifts) desired to achieve a creative final image.
Requirements:
- Submit for grading, a final image that will be printed as a dye-sublimation
or ink-jet image, by the end of the semester.
- Final image must have at least one creative technique applied to the image.
- Final image must be composited from at least two separate scanned images,
images from your digital camera, or one original illustration, but not images from the web!!!
- Image will be critiqued in class. Check with instructor for date.
