The focus in English is on grammar and composition. In the other courses, elements of spelling rules, reading and vocabulary skills are taught in each; however, the major focus of each course is specifically either reading, spelling, or vocabulary instruction. The format in all courses is a practical approach rather than a lecture approach.

Technology is a component of each course as a tool to aid instruction; therefore, we use WebCt, wiki, stand-alone software, blogs, PowerPoint, word processing software, and other technology suitable to aid instruction and learning.
