![]() Dr. Mark WherryChoral StudiesDr. Mark Wherry is the coordinator of Vocal Music at the College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, where he conducts the College Singers, Chamber Choir and CSN Vocal Jazz Ensemble. He has been the musical director of the CSN productions of No, No, Nannette, Will Rogers Follies, 1940's Radio Hour and Carousel. As a performer he has appeared in the Off Broadway production of Take It From the Top and sung leading roles with the National Opera Company in The Barber of Seville, Martha and The Marriage of Figaro. At CSN Mark played the role of LM in Pump Boys and Dinettes at the Horn Theater. He made his New York debut as a composer in the musical review, It's That Time of the Year in 1996. Dr. Wherry is a member of the faculty of the Jim Wiedner Jazz Combo Camps the past two summers. Mark recently completed his doctorate in choral conducting and jazz pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado. He received his Masters of Music degree in choral conducting from the University of Miami. He is in demand as a clinician and adjudicator throughout the western United States. | |
