Ekaterina Brim was born in Russia, March 1994. At age three her family moved to Germany and later to the United States. From an early age Ekaterina has shown great disposition and interest in music, literature, singing, painting, and dancing. Ekaterina comes from a very musical and artistic home; her mother is a pianist and is currently Ekaterina's teacher and mentor. Ekaterina's father is one of the leading contemporary mimes in the world and her grandfather, Georgy Brim, is a famous artist back home, whose art is her inspiration. Besides music, Ekaterina also has great passion for languages and dancing. She speaks three languages and is a student at the Nevada Academy of Ballet. Recently, she became one of the winners of the annual "Search for Talent" auditions. |

Winsey Lam is ten years old and is a fifth grader at the "Explore Knowledge Academy." Winsey has been playing the piano for four years under the guidance of Mrs. Damaris Alvarez, and has received numerous awards, including gold and silver medals at the Silver State Competition, former CSN Concerto Competitions, and a scholarship in the Dean's Honors Recital at Nevada School of the Arts. In addition to her piano studies, she is actively engaged in tap and jazz dance, enjoys reading and playing games in her spare time. Winsey aspires to become a school teacher when she grows up. |

Allen Choe, born on July 27, 1988, he began piano studies at age eight with In-Young Lee. He is a sophomore at the Advanced Technology Academy, where he is a major in Computer Science. Currently Allen is a student of pianist Damaris Alvarez at the Nevada School of the Arts. Allen has participated in numerous competitions in the city of Las Vegas, receiving first prizes at the Silver Stale Competition twice, the Search for Talent and the Bolognini Competition. Allen also plays the violin in the Las Vegas Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a fast learner when it comes to playing an instrument, and enjoys giving his free time to good causes. At school he participates in the Key Club which does community service. His hobbies include snowboarding and swimming. He continues to enjoy playing the piano and hanging out with his closest friends. |

Sherry Kim began her piano lessons when she was five in Hawaii. She studied four years with Lisa Fiorenza after her family moved to Las Vegas. Sherry was admitted to Music & Arts of Las Vegas, studying with Jie Bu since 2002. Sherry has won many prizes in competitions, most recently the first place in the 11-12 category of the 2004 Bolognini Scholarship Competition. She also was first place winner of the previous Silver State, Bolognini, Search for Talent, and the CSN Concerto Competition. Sherry is the choir accompanist for Fertitta middle school where she is a 6th grader. Sherry enjoys music and hopes to become a musician when she grows up. |

Elsa Alonzo was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She began her musical training at age nine with Celeste Marcos, and was later transferred to the Elementary School of Music and Studio Dina of Musical Education, where she obtained her Elementary Teaching Diploma. In January 2003, she moved to the United States to continue her studies with pianist Damaris Alvarez at CSN. She expects to graduate with an Associate of Arts degree from the Community College next summer. Elsa has participated in several festivals and courses, including "The Pianist in The New Millennium," where she met her actual teacher. She also has participated in "Opera de Las America's Summer Camp," where she took coaching and orchestra direction with Jan Jozef Wnek. In 1998 and 1999, she won Third Prize and honorable mention at the "Latin-American Music Festival" in Santo Domingo, and in January 2004, she obtained the Third Prize at the "Seventh Reno Concerto Competition" at the University of Nevada Reno. This year she was selected "Outstanding Student" by the music faculty of CSN. |

Yan Yu has played the piano since childhood, and was enrolled in the music school at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music, where she studied under the guidance of Prof. Meiai XIE, before she entered the China Central Conservatory of Music. Now she is studying with Prof. Shigu Zhang, a doctoral graduate from the University of Arizona. Miss Van Vu has been performing since the age of seven, and won many prizes in local competitions in which she participated. In the winter of 2001, Yan attended the first Central Conservatory of Music Festival and received an honorable mention. She is musical and has acquired a brilliant technique. Her performances are always expressive and convincing! |
