IGT Scholarship

My name is Richard Baldinelli and I want to thank IGT for providing me this wonderful scholarship. I'm in my third year of school at CSN and I'm trying to pursue a degree in electrical engineering. My experience at CSN has been amazing, and the college has given me a great head start in my education.

It was an honor to be chosen as a recipient of this generous award. As hard as it is for students now to afford to pay for tuition and supplies, the support from you is greatly appreciated. This scholarship will allow me to further invest in my education and purchase proper tools needed for automotive classes. I am a 21-year-old Art student at the College of Southern Nevada. I have a strong creative drive and a passion for visual art. I plan on pursuing a career in Restorative Art upon completion of my Associate of Arts. This semester I am taking a class on sculpture….By awarding me this scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on building my portfolio and pushing myself as an artist.

NV Energy Dr. Candace Kant Endowed Scholarship

I am currently a sophomore majoring in English with hopes of becoming a screenwriter. Last spring, I began writing for The Collegiate Review student newspaper, and presently I am the managing editor. Next fall, I will be attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where I will continue my English studies and minor in Film. After I receive my B.A., I plan to attend University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts and obtain a M.F.A. in Screen writing.

Las Vegas Hospitality Association Endowed Scholarship

It is with profound gratitude and great humility I accept the Las Vegas Hospitality’s Association’s Scholarship. Thanks to the generosity of the Las Vegas Hospitality Association, I’m on track to graduate CSN next spring with a degree in Hospitality Management. After CSN, I plan to continue my education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Continuing my education will help validate my work at CSN while I prepare myself for the fast-paced, ever- changing Las Vegas hospitality industry.

Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants Scholarship

I would like to express my heartfelt thank you for awarding me a scholarship. Words cannot express how greatly I appreciate it. This scholarship helps me to achieve my career goal of becoming a certified public accountant. I have an 8 year old daughter and I also help to support my elderly mother so funds are tight for my education. I will continue to strive for ultimate success as I continue my education.

Southern Nevada Retired Teachers’ Association Scholarship

It is such a great honor to be recognized by the very profession I wish to enter. I am currently majoring in Elementary Education, and look forward to the day when I’m teaching in a classroom. This scholarship will help me tremendously in achieving my goal of becoming an elementary teacher. I have been working on this goal since I graduated high school over 20 years ago. Due to family and work obligations it has been a long road, but I can see that I am making progress and I am keeping focused on my goal. With the assistance from your organization I will be able to complete my Associates of Applied Science in Special Education this spring.

This generous gift will help me to achieve my lifelong goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. For as long as I can remember I have dreamed of becoming a Nurse. As a more mature student, I have a deep appreciation of the education I have received and will continue to earn. I worked as a Nursing Assistant for 16 years and I am grateful for the opportunity to reach my goals. I am grateful to NV Energy & Nevada Cancer Institute for their continued support for Health Sciences at the College of Southern Nevada. With this scholarship I will be able to sit for the VTNE board exam and continue my studies into Equine Veterinary Nursing. I look forward to my future as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

Health Plan of Nevada Science Scholarship

I am currently in the Dental Hygiene Program at CSN and am doing fairly well in it. I am also a member of Phi Theta Kappa at CSN. I plan to continue to succeed in the Dental Hygiene program so I can become a successful, educated Dental Hygienist who is able to serve the community and those around me. Thank you for being so generous as to help me achieve my educations goals and needs.

Natural Science Scholarship Association Endowed Scholarship

About a year and a half ago, I made the decision to go back to school. It had been more than a decade since I had stepped inside a classroom. I am currently pursuing an AS in Environmental Science. After I graduate at CSN I plan to transfer to UNLV to get my BS in Environmental Geology. Ideally, I hope to work for a government agency, such as the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection.
