    TRANSFER OF CREDITS

It is the student's responsibility  to apply for transfer credit by filling out the transfer  credits application form.  Students transferring with an associate degree or equivalent from an accredited dental hygiene program will have that degree counted as fulfilling CSN's lower division general education requirements.

Transferring Credits

In general, transferring from one institution to another can be a challenging experience. The receiving institution will always determine which credits will transfer.

It is also advised that you keep the course syllabus, assignments, and copies of tests from each class you take.  If you are ever put in a position where you must challenge the evaluation of CSN credits, you will be prepared.  As previously mentioned, a CSN Catalog is the most important resource for this process.

Incoming Credit Evaluations:
To determine what credits will be accepted at CSN, please request that all institutions you have previously attended send official transcripts to:
    CSN
    3200 E. Cheyenne Ave.
    N. Las Vegas, NV  89030
    Attn.: Admission and Records
It is also suggested that you request a copy for yourself.  Transcripts received by CSN become part of your permanent record.  You must then apply for an official evaluation through the Admissions and Records Office.  Please complete the Transfer Credit Evaluation Request form.  A copy of the completed transfer credit evaluation will be mailed to you.

For more information consult the College of Southern Nevada Course Catalog.

All students are encouraged to read through this handbook to become familiar with the policy and procedures for the BSDH program, particularly those procedures that are the student's responsibility.
