Most Dental Assistants are employed in private dental offices or managed care clinics. Program Description The Dental Assisting Program is taught in the Health Sciences Center at the Charleston Campus of the College of Southern Nevada. It is designed for the working student who has the option of either following the suggested curriculum sequence or completing the course work on a part-time basis. The Clinical Dental Assistant may complete the curriculum sequence in 2 semesters on a full-time basis or 4 semesters for those pursuing the program part-time. Certificate of Achievement Course Requirements Career Guide and Approximate Costs How to Register for the Dental Assisting Program Admission Requirements The College of Southern Nevada's Administrative & Clinical Dental Assisting Programs are Open Entry Programs. Therefore, an application for admission to a Limited-Entry Health Science Program is NOT required. However, there may be some course restrictions or prerequisites. New Student Checklist New students to CSN planning to register for this Open-Entry Health Science program should complete the steps outlined on the Checklist for New Students Seeking an Open-Entry Health Science Certificate of Achievement.
