RN Nursing Program

Program Description A registered nurse focuses on the care of the sick, injured, dying, and the promotion of healthy living. A nursing career allows for flexible work schedules and excellent incomes. After completion of the required coursework, students will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

What To Expect Students may pursue this degree either as a full time or part time student. Students will complete classroom and laboratory assignments. They will also be assigned to clinical internships from the first semester to provide care to patients.

Practical Nursing (PN) Program

Program Description This certificate of achievement program includes classroom instruction, skills lab instruction and clinical practice in adult, gerontological, family and mental health nursing. After the completion of the required coursework, students will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN)

What To Expect Students will be full time students and will complete classroom and skills lab instruction. They will also be assigned to care for patients in hospitals, long term care facilities, and ambulatory care facilities.

Nursing Assistant Program

Program Description This curriculum prepares graduates to perform basic nursing and restorative care for patients involving safety, personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, basic mental health, protection of the patient and the patient’s rights, observing the patient and reporting to the nurse.

What To Expect Students are required to take 210 hours of class over one semester which includes lecture, skills lab, and clinical experience in a long term care facility.

LPN to RN Bridge Program

Program Description This program allows currently licensed practical nurses (LPN) to advance to the Registered Nurse (RN) level.
