Browsing
for information is something you already do: "surfing the Web"—scanning the grocery store magazines—or wandering through a library or a bookstore. Browsing can
be a good way to come upon information you hadn't realized was out
there.
Those uncountable web sites, books, and magazines might well be quite different next
month. But at libraries we select, organize and preserve your access to authoritative information. You
can boost your research by taking advantage of the librarians' work of
organizing all those books, magazines, and other materials into coordinated subject areas.
