The CSN Librarians are eager to assist you
with your
research assignments. You will find us at the Reference Desk in the
Library at each
main campus, or call us, or email us, or use the Library web page chat feature. Take some time to get to know us—we can help make your college life a
little
easier.
First,
let us tell you a bit about ourselves. We are part of CSN’s faculty
and
have Master's degrees in Library and Information Science. We also have other degrees
in a range of fields, such as English, Business, Art
History, and French. We are trained to analyze information needs for
virtually any assignment you might have and we frequently know exactly
what
resources you need.
We
select and purchase all of the books, DVD’s, databases and
other
materials that you find in the CSN Library and web
page. We
also teach library research skills for classes, such as English, Biology, Paralegal
Studies,
Art, Computer Information Technology, and many more study fields, so we see
a lot of
the research assignments that you are working on. We know firsthand
what databases,
books, newspapers, magazines, encyclopedias or web sites will help you
with
your research project. We also wrote two CSN guides to doing APA and MLA
citations. So
when you are pulling your hair out over citing your sources, just come
to the
Reference Desk in the Library for help.
We can show you:
- company profiles for your Business class
- pro/con essays for your
persuasive
speech in COM 101
- scholarly journal articles
for your
Psychology paper
We take great satisfaction in making a positive
difference in your
college experience. Stop by, give us a call, email your question, or use our new chat feature on the CSN Library web page—we look forward to
meeting you!
