Newspapers provide articles about
current events and are a good source for local, national and
international news and information.
Newspapers,
like journals and magazines, are called "periodicals" because they are
published regularly—for example, daily or weekly.
|
You
can find newspapers in print or microfilm format, or in online research
databases. For instance, from the CSN Library web page, click on "Find Articles and Research Information" to search the database called Newspaper Source from Ebsco, or see
recent years of the New York Times in the Opposing Viewpoints database. Many newspapers have their own websites and feature some
daily articles for free but may provide older articles only for
a fee. If you have a question about the bias of a particular newspaper,
ask a Librarian.
