| These are just a sampling of activities--not a
comprehensive list. for full schedule see IPS2000 website at http://www.planetarium.montreal.qc.ca/IPS2000/ The Dinner speaker was Astronaut Julie Payette, of the Canadian Space Agency. She gave a most inspiring talk about humans' insatiable curiosity, the value of telling "the story" in a way that people can relate to, as well as specific things of interest to her: images from Chandra, HST, Eta Carina, the Moon, Mars, the International Space Station. She had many insights on what it was like in space. She said that the "lost and found" in space is the air filter, since any lost item will eventually float with air currents over to the air filter.
