The Lane ESD Planetarium has completed its most successful school year ever. This was a result of becoming more active with teachers, providing them with in-services and resource materials. Our program "Where In The Universe Is Carmen Sandiego" also helped boost attendance tremendously. Most popular program (still running) ever is "Where In The Universe Is Carmen Sandiego". Our Planetarium is in the planning stages for a major visibility and capital fund-raising campaign to begin this fall. Our goal is to promote the Planetarium more effectively, install an all-sky video system and hire new staff. Our web site is: http://www.efn.org/~esd_plt/
Most of my time has been spent on end of year reports & budgets; summer show production; teaching evening astronomy classes; installing some new projectors and gearing up for a major fall capital campaign. I wish I had more time to plan my trip to the Black Sea in August.
No flashy equipment, but we're working on getting some (soon).
