Planetarium Director (and since January of 1999, Department Chair as well) has been keeping busy with department business and assisting the Vally College Astronomy Club. The Club acquired two more Celestron 10 X 50 binoculars for student use and a 14mm Meade ocular (2-inch diameter) to add to the Club's collection of eyepieces. In September Astronomy Club members will have a rare opportunity to spend an evening observing using the 60" telescope at Mt. Wilson...it pays to belong to the LAVC Astronomy Club!
