Course Summary

This course teaches you the skills and knowledge necessary to understanding the core concepts of computer security. Study will cover the key security concepts, including understanding threats to a computing infrastructure, securing a network infrastructure,understanding encryption technologies, security communictions and applications, and responding to incidents. The course is also designed to help students prepare to take the Security + Certification exam which is administered by CompTIA, should that be an objective. Passing the Security + Certification exam means that you are certified as posessing the basic knowledge and skills needed to work in computer security.
