Bridge to Workforce
Adult Literacy and Language Program
The Adult Literacy and Language Program is an established provider of ESL, GED, and Civics classes that have served the Las Vegas valley for over 15 years. Our commitment to education has improved the lives of many residents in the Las Vegas area and enabled our program to enrich the lives of people in our communities in pursuit of a better education. Our ESL, GED, and Civics classes provide a core foundation for progress by teaching students the value of speaking proper English, becoming naturalized citizens, and the job opportunities that become available once a student attains a GED certificate of diploma.
The program offers different ESL classes based on a student’s English reading/speaking comprehension level. GED and Civics classes are also designed in preparation for students to take the GED or Citizenship examination. Our instructors are all certified teachers with a wide variety of teaching methods that apply to the skills students need in order to successfully enter a competitive workforce. The College of Southern Nevada is committed to educating our student population and furthering their education by teaching the skills necessary to enter the workforce and offered by the Adult Language and Literacy Program.
Bridge Entry Program
Entry into college preparation courses and occupational training programs are available for students who have met the core requirements set by the Adult Language and Literacy Program. Further your education and increase job readiness skills by taking bridge to workforce courses. College bridge courses are designed to help students make the difficult transition from basic education to entry level college courses. Bridge courses are also offered as an introduction to start a path to a new career in Healthcare and the Technical programs.
