English as a Second Language (ESL)

English language competency is vital for success in the United States. The non-credit English as a Second Language program offers classes to adults who want to improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. CSN's Adult Literacy and Language Program provide ESL classes to Nevada residents free of charge at multiple locations in and around Las Vegas.
How to Enroll
Persons wishing to enroll in English as a Second Language classes at CSN must sign up for a Registration Session. Seats are limited.
To sign-up for a Registration Session please register online here or call and register over the phone at 702-651-4487. Students can also walk-in register at the CSN Sahara West Center at 2409 Las Verdes Street, Las Vegas, NV 89102, bulding A front desk. Phone and walk-in registration is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 PM.
All potential students must attend all of the two-day Registration Session to successfully enroll in CSN's English as a Second Language classes. The Registration Session on day one and on day two will last 3 hours each for a total of six hours. The student applicant must attend for the entire time. Anyone who is 15 minutes late and/or fails to attend one or both of the Sessions will not be enrolled in classes.
During the Registration Session, students will participate in assessment testing to determine their class assignment.
