OSHA 500 Prerequisites Course OSHA 510 Five years of verifiable professional construction safety experience A college degree in occupational safety and health, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation, in the applicable training area may be substituted for two (2) years of experience. Please note the 30-hour Construction course does not meet the prerequisite for this class. OSHA 501 Prerequisites Prerequisites: Course OSHA 511 Five years of verifiable professional general industry safety experience a college degree in occupational safety and health, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation, in the applicable training area may be substituted for two (2) years of experience. Please note the 30-hour General Industry course does not meet the prerequisite for this class. Prerequisites for OSHA 5600 OSHA 500 or 501 Three years of safety training experience, Completion of the 40-hour HAZWOPER training or equivalent OSHA HAZWOPER Train the Trainer Completion of the 40-hour HAZWOPER training
