| Part Time Instructor – Occupational Health and Safety Programs The College of Southern Nevada is looking for part time instructors, available days, in the area of occupational health and safety. This position is within the Department of Occupational Health and Safety Programs within the Division of Workforce and Economic Development. These are non-credit continuing education, customized business training courses. Included within this department is the OSHA Training Institute Education Center. |
| Teaching assignments are typically days ranging from one to four days in length. There is no guaranteed schedule. |

| Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver course material to groups.
- Facilitate student learning through group discussion, hands on activities, and various learning strategies.
- Communicate with the Workforce Specialist regarding any issues with the course.
- Assist when requested with the assessment, design, development, and evaluation of short and long term programs based on the needs of the course and the Workforce Specialist.
- Assure completion of all forms and submittal to the Workforce Specialist.
- Maintain any necessary certifications and notify the Workforce Specialist of any changes in your qualifications.

| Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
- Exceptional listening, communication, team, and computer skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA numbered requirements, and state and local regulations, and the ability to read and interpret the codes for applicable classes.
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing with colleagues and customers. Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
- Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience with professional presentations and/or group facilitation.

| Required Qualifications:
Varies depending on the course
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years occupational health and safety training and completion of one or more OSHA Training Institute Courses.
OR
10 years appropriate occupational health and safety training experience and completion of one or more OSHA Training Institute Courses. |
